The A.B.C.s of B.I.D.s

All property and business owners along West Adams Blvd. between Hauser and La Brea are members of the West Adams Business Improvement District (BID). If that sounds like you, here's what you need to know.

Why are BIDs Important?

  • Enhanced Services: BIDs provide services and improvements that go beyond what the city can offer. This includes street cleaning and tree trimming.

  • Marketing and Promotion: Collective funding allows for impactful marketing campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones (like this newsletter!)

  • Community Building: BIDs foster a sense of community and collaboration among business owners, encouraging a cooperative approach to common challenges.

How Are Your Assessments Used?

Your assessments are invested back into the district and can fund:

  • Beautification Projects: Landscaping, public art, tree pruning, and cleaning maintenance of public spaces.

  • Marketing Campaigns: Promotional efforts to attract visitors and boost local business.

  • Events and Activities: Community events that bring people to the district and create a lively atmosphere.

Want to Get Involved?

  • Attend BID Meetings: Join our regular quarterly meetings to stay informed and have your voice heard.

  • Share Your Ideas: We value your input! Share your suggestions for improving the district.

  • Stay Connected: Follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on BID activities and opportunities.

Trash Talk: Supporting Reliable Housekeepers, Our Street Cleaning Specialists

You may have seen Reliable Housekeepers expertly cleaning West Adams Blvd. throughout the week. They have been doing a fantastic job sweeping the sidewalks and removing trash, graffiti, and illegally dumped items.

Let's ensure that, as a community, we do our best to ensure they can do their work safely and efficiently.

Here are ways we can help Reliable Housekeepers keep our streets clean:

  • Calling 311 when we see graffiti, trash, and bulky items left on the sidewalks or parking lots or filling out a service request on our website.

  • Cleaning up after yourselves and encouraging your neighboring businesses to clean up after themselves, including our neighborhood street vendors!

Let's keep West Adams clean and walkable!
