Our Mission
The West Adams Business Improvement District (WABID) is dedicated to fostering a cleaner, safer, greener, and economically thriving commercial corridor. We seek to honor the lessons and values of West Adams’s history, preserving its cultural richness while enhancing the district for the businesses, property owners, and community members who call it home.
Through strategic initiatives, collaboration, and investment, we strive to create an environment where businesses can flourish, public spaces can thrive, and visitors and residents alike can enjoy a welcoming, dynamic, and vibrant neighborhood.
What is a Business Improvement District (BID)?
A Business Improvement District (BID) is a special assessment district in which commercial property owners contribute funds to improve and maintain their business district. Managed by a nonprofit organization, the BID reinvests these funds directly into the area, supporting services that go beyond what the city provides.
What Does the West Adams BID Do?
The West Adams BID is responsible for enhancing the economic vitality and quality of life in the district by focusing on projects such as:
Clean & Safe Initiatives
Beautification & Greening
Business Support & Advocacy
Community Engagement & Events
Who We Serve
The West Adams BID serves property owners, business owners, and the broader community within the district. While our primary funding comes from property assessments, our work benefits residents, visitors, and customers by creating a more attractive, safe, and thriving destination for commerce and culture.
Through ongoing collaboration and a commitment to progress, the West Adams BID is proud to build upon the legacy of this historic district while shaping its future as a premier business and cultural hub in Los Angeles.
